Awareness and personal responsibility
Participants must:
- stay aware of their surroundings at all times
- not follow instructions blindly
- assess situations independently
Important: Digital clues can be inaccurate, misleading or outdated.
Behaviour in public spaces
Please note:
- Follow traffic rules at all times.
- Only cross streets at safe places.
- Watch out for cars, bikes and other road users.
- Do not block paths, driveways or entrances.
Locations and terrain
It is not allowed to:
- Enter private property without permission.
- Enter fenced-off or clearly marked restricted areas.
- Enter buildings, rooftops, construction sites or industrial areas.
- Go to dangerous places (e.g. steep slopes, water edges, railway tracks).
If a place feels unsafe: stop the task and choose a safe alternative.
Nature and environmental protection
Please act responsibly:
- do not damage plants or objects
- do not leave litter behind
- respect protected areas and animals
- avoid unnecessary disturbance
GPS and technology
- GPS data can be inaccurate
- coordinates may point to inaccessible places
- technology can fail (battery, connectivity, software)
Recommendation: do not rely solely on the app and keep orientation and the way back in mind.
Group behaviour
- stay together where possible
- look out for slower participants
- agree on meeting points in case you get separated
- avoid risky behaviour due to group pressure
Children
- children should only participate under supervision
- supervisors carry responsibility
- tasks must be appropriate for the age group
Health requirements
Participants should:
- be physically able to move safely
- drink enough and take breaks
- consider weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
